ZONEWU Based on LoRa spread spectrum modulation technology, terminals are capable of ultra long distance communication. A wireless monitoring device that integrates data collection, monitoring, and transmission. This product is equipped with a methane (CH4) sensor and a temperature and humidity sensor. The use of non dispersive infrared (NDIR) principle for detecting methane gas in the air has good selectivity and is oxygen independent. This sensor is equipped with emergency reporting of data anomalies, and can proactively report anomalies based on pre-set threshold values according to the on-site environment. It supports standard LoRaWAN protocol and TDMA networking protocol for ad hoc networks.

    1.ZONEWU’s wireless monitoring device represents a cutting-edge solution for remote environmental data acquisition and supervision, built on the robust foundation of LoRa spread spectrum modulation technology. Unlike traditional wireless communication methods, LoRa’s unique spread spectrum modulation enables the terminal to achieve ultra-long-distance communication even in complex industrial environments—such as underground mines, large-scale farms, or remote oil and gas fields—where signal interference and obstacles are prevalent.

     

    2.This all-in-one device integrates three core functions into a single, compact unit: data collection, real-time environmental monitoring, and secure wireless data transmission. Eliminating the need for separate modules and cumbersome wiring, it streamlines deployment and reduces operational costs for users across various industrial sectors.

     

    3.At the heart of the device’s sensing capabilities are two high-precision sensors: a methane (CH₄) sensor and a temperature and humidity sensor. The methane detection module employs the non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection principle, a gold-standard technology for gas analysis. This principle works by emitting specific infrared wavelengths that are absorbed by methane molecules, allowing for highly accurate concentration measurements. A key advantage of the NDIR-based design is its superior selectivity—it can identify and quantify methane even in the presence of other gases, avoiding false readings caused by cross-interference. Additionally, the sensor operates independently of oxygen, making it suitable for use in oxygen-deficient environments, such as confined spaces or high-altitude areas, where traditional oxygen-dependent sensors would fail to function reliably.

     

    4.To ensure proactive risk management, the device is equipped with an intelligent anomaly emergency reporting system. Users can pre-set critical threshold values for methane concentration, temperature, and humidity based on their specific on-site environmental requirements and safety standards. When the monitored parameters exceed or fall below these pre-defined thresholds, the terminal automatically triggers an emergency alert and transmits the anomaly data to the central management platform in real time. This feature enables users to respond to potential hazards—such as methane leaks or extreme temperature fluctuations—promptly, minimizing safety risks and preventing costly accidents.

     

    5.In terms of networking flexibility, the device supports two industry-leading protocols: the standard LoRaWAN protocol and the TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) ad hoc networking protocol. For large-scale, centralized monitoring systems, LoRaWAN provides seamless integration with existing IoT platforms, enabling unified management of multiple terminals across a wide geographic area. For scenarios where a centralized network infrastructure is unavailable, the TDMA ad hoc networking protocol allows multiple ZONEWU monitoring terminals to form a self-organizing, peer-to-peer network. This ad hoc capability ensures uninterrupted data transmission even in remote locations, making the device a versatile choice for both fixed-site and mobile monitoring applications.
