1. Q: What is the communication distance of the RS485 C₂H₄ sensor?

A: The communication distance is subject to the transmission line and the environment. In a standard setup with a dedicated twisted-pair cable and without signal repeaters, the maximum distance can reach 1200 meters. If signal repeaters are added, the transmission distance can be further extended.It is recommended to use shielded twisted-pair cables for wiring to reduce electromagnetic interference and ensure stable data transmission.


2. Q: Do I need to lay cables during deployment?

A: Yes, cables are required for deployment. The sensor adopts RS485 wired communication technology, which needs to be connected to the data collector or control host via twisted-pair cables.The RS485 bus supports multi-device networking (up to 32 devices in one bus segment by default), which simplifies wiring layout and reduces the overall system wiring complexity.


3. Q: What are the common reasons for intermittent data transmission of the sensor?

A: In addition to the communication distance exceeding the standard limit without a signal repeater, intermittent transmission may also be caused by loose cable connections, poor contact of terminal blocks, excessive electromagnetic interference from nearby industrial equipment, or an ungrounded shielded layer of the cable.
